Wide Receiver (X-Julio Jones, Z-Amari Cooper, H-Jerry Jeudy)
This became almost as difficult as the running back position in the wake of the onslaught of talented wideouts over the last five seasons. The fact is Julio Jones is a better pro player than college, but he also broke numerous receiving records at Alabama despite playing in a more conservative offense under former OC Jim McElwain. You can’t not have Julio.
Amari Cooper broke every conceivable receiving record on his way to a Biletnikoff Award in 2014. Coop was on the vanguard (Kiffin’s first as OC) that season between the old-style Alabama and what we see today. He’s good for all eras of Alabama football.
When it comes to the slot, not a single player changed the position quite like Jerry Jeudy. Jeudy worked it so brilliantly that he almost went unnoticed at times. It took him getting the ball and doing his regular sorcery to realize that his own Biletnikoff Award in 2018 was just.
There are so many good ones, but these are my guys in a three-receiver set.
Honorable Mention: X-Henry Ruggs III, Z-Devonta Smith, H-Calvin Ridley
