The Alabama Football team has enjoyed five National Championships throughout their decade of dominance and many exciting moments. From game winning drives to blocked kicks to missed kicks leading to overtime, the Tide hasn’t always won games in dominating fashion. Many of the games throughout the years have been nail biters.

Some of the most exciting moments have come over LSU, Auburn, Tennessee, and Georgia. Some of the best plays came during the regular season. Some of the best plays came in championships games. One thing is for sure, there hasn’t been a shortage of heart-pounding, nail-biting, adrenaline-pumping plays. Let’s take a look back at the top ten plays from the last decade.

10. 2008: Rashad Johnson’s Overtime interception against LSU

We have to go a little further back for number ten. Rashad Johnson had a huge game against the Tigers in 2008. After LSU started with a 14-7 lead in the first quarter, Johnson capitalized on a Jarrett Lee miscue for a pick-six to take the Tide into halftime tied. The game went back and forth in the second half eventually going into overtime after the Tigers blocked a last second Tide field goal.

The Tigers received the ball first, but their overtime hopes ended early with another Rashad Johnson interception. When the Tide took over for their possession, the Tide marched down the field before John Parker Wilson took the ball in for a one-yard touchdown run to seal the game for the Tide.
