Alabama Football’s Top Ten Moments of the Decade
4. 2012: AJ McCarron screen pass to TJ Yeldon to beat LSU
After coming out strong in the first half, the Alabama Football offense couldn’t find any success in the second half. It was another “game of the year” for the top ranked Tide and fifth ranked Tigers. Alabama had repeating Title hopes on the line and couldn’t afford a loss in Death Valley.
Luckily, McCarron was able to overcome his slow second half start on his last drive of the game. Down three points, McCarron went 4 for 5 on that drive finding TJ Yeldon on the last play on a quick screen pass to avoid pressure coming his way. Yeldon took care of the rest eluding defenders for the game-winning touchdown with less than a minute remaining.
