The Alabama Crimson Tide usually have a combo or two of more than adequate running backs. With the return of a rising senior though, just how deep will the Tide be at the backs’ position?

With quite a surprise to just about everybody in the country, the Alabama Crimson Tide return one of the best backs in the country in rising senior Najee Harris. Harris was considered as high as a late 1st-round pick in some mock drafts, but most experts saw him going mid-to-late 2nd round.

With said choice, Harris’s presence automatically brings a certain poise to this Crimson Tide team for 2020. Not only is Harris one of the best backs in the country, but a great leader in the locker room as well. With quite a few backs in the locker room, a handful being younger than most, Harris can not only improve his draft stock in 2020 but spread his knowledge and experience around to everybody else.

Harris is not the only exciting running back for the Tide though. One must not forget about the bulldozing Brian Robinson, phenom Trey Sanders, the speedster Keilan Robinson, and freshmen Roydell Williams, Jase McClellan, and Kyle Edwards. With that being said, this could easily turn out to be one of the best running back groups in all of college football. Although the Tide will have a “loaded” group, there will be quite a few new faces. The difference between experience and potential is what needs to be deciphered. Take a look at each slide as we break down what this group will be made up of.
