2.) Brian Robinson Jr.

One of the most underrated running backs in the country is on the Alabama Crimson Tide roster, in Brian Robinson Jr. The Tuscaloosa native has not had the opportunities I am sure he has wanted to prove himself. When you are behind some of the most proficient running backs in the country like Damien Harris, Najee Harris, and Josh Jacobs, playing time is not the biggest focal point, but learning from those above him, which I believe Robinson Jr. has been able to do.

Robinson is another back who thankfully for the Crimson Tide, has experience. Although the back’ some call “B-Rob” has not received a huge amount of playing time, he was able to post 441 yards on 96 attempts (4.6 ypc) last year with 5 touchdowns. Robinson has received some comparisons to the likes of Eddie Lacy and Jalston Fowler based on how hard he runs, and the strength he uses to bulldoze over people. On 3rd and short situations, if the Tide are looking to scrape across for a 1st down, Robinson is a nice choice. He is not afraid to lower his head. Depending on what kind of situation, it should not surprise anybody to see Najee Harris rest for a couple of plays and Robinson being used to pick up a chunk of yards on 3rd down situations.

With so many running backs in Tuscaloosa, some might consider transferring. Jerome Ford has already transferred to Cincinnati. With his talent, some suggest Robinson would start at a handful of Power 5 schools. Robinson has stated that he loves Tuscaloosa and should see more playing time this year, lessening his chance of transfer. A nice one-two punch of Najee Harris and Brian Robinson Jr. should worry opposing teams.
