3.) Trey Sanders
Trey Sanders is one of the most exciting young athletes in college football. It was unfortunate he was injured in his freshman season, but a healthy Sanders should be used often in 2020. Based on his size at 6’0 and 214 pounds, Sanders already has the body to be a progressive back in the SEC. Besides his size, the former First Team All-American from IMG Academy has been talked about as possibly the next best running back at Alabama.
While the former No. 1 running back out of high school was not able to show his stuff last season, this year should be completely different. Some have compared him to Najee Harris, while others are saying he is more of the all-around back. Some are even saying he could be the best back the Crimson Tide has seen in 10 years.
It is hard to ignore how good he was coming out of high school and how hard he was recruited. Several experts picked him to land at Georgia. Sanders had a rocky recruitment, but all that matters is that he is planning to carry the ball for Nick Saban and company. With nice speed in the 4.5’s, Sanders should have no issues showing the nation why he was recruited so hard.
If Alabama can get Najee Harris and Brian Robinson Jr. combined for a nice duo and also find a way to incorporate Trey Sanders into a solid all-around trio, the Crimson Tide should be in strong hands throughout the season. It would be hard to argue that besides Georgia, any other SEC team would be close to this nice of a running back stable. They are not done though!
