4.) Keilan Robinson

In one of my favorite backs in the country, speedster Keilan Robinson should not go hidden in this roster of Tide running backs. Do not look at his size, 5’9 184 pounds, and think he is not good enough. When given the opportunity this past season, Robinson made the best of it, gaining 254 yards on just 39 attempts, which averages 6.5 yards-per-carry. He even had a long of 92 yards.

Although Robinson was just a true freshman this past year, Nick Saban is notorious for putting young talent on the field. Saban once again showed he continues to make the right decision as many people were surprised to see such a quick and talented, but less-heralded running back.

So, now we’re talking about four truly athletic backs of all types (fast, powerful, agile, and shifty) on the Crimson Tide roster. Robinson somewhat reminds me of Dee Hart in terms of size, Kenyan Drake in speed, and Damien Harris in vision. Those comparisons are bold but are not to be overlooked by any means. Robinson probably won’t be a 1000-yard rusher, but it would not be surprising to see the Tide use him now and then. The Tide still is not done yet, if you were wondering.
