6.) Roydell Williams

Another exciting running back out of the 2020 recruiting class is Roydell Williams out of Hueytown High School in Hueytown, Alabama. The early-enrollee really showed Nick Saban and the rest of the staff his versatile characteristics playing running back, quarterback, and even a little defense. As expected, Williams has chosen the Crimson Tide as a running back, but it would be rather interesting to see Williams in the old fashioned Wildcat formation in certain game situations. With a similar stature as McClelland, Williams has more of a downhill back type of skill set, as he likes the punish defenders and run them over more than juking and spinning. It is not a shocker to see Williams line up in so many different spots and excel. Just take a look at one his games this past year and the stat line.

When backs like Williams come out high school, it is rather hard not to sit in awe of his skill set. Once Williams can get things going for the Crimson Tide and sit behind some of the upperclassmen while learning the ins and outs of the offense, it should not surprise people to see Roydell excel.

At this point, the Crimson Tide are six running backs deep into the conversation with one more left. Even though the next back is not the most known name in the industry, do not let him fool you.
