Injuries plague Alabama Crimson Tide across all athletic teams
There seems to be a growing trend across many of the Alabama Crimson Tide athletic teams: injuries. Perhaps there is something in the water or simply a stroke of bad luck, let’s take a deeper look at the dilemma.
Alabama Crimson Tide Football fans are familiar with the litany of injuries that plagued the Tide last season. Many would argue that the Tide would have won the National Championship last year had they had the privilege of playing with a full roster all season.
The injuries on the football team came at crucial positions, most notably, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and linebacker Dylan Moses. The injuries eventually became too much for even the great Nick Saban to coach around, and the Tide faced its most disappointing season in years.
Unfortunately, the injury bug seems to be encroaching on other sports as well. First year head basketball coach, Nate Oats, has faced a challenge almost all season fighting through a depleted roster. Injury and illness have been an ongoing issue with the Alabama Crimson Tide basketball program this season.
Further, Alabama Gymnastics is beginning to taste the bitter effects of injuries as well with their stars and is being forced to work around girls out from the sport indefinitely.
Despite a high ceiling and grand expectations, Alabama Softball has faced a rough start in the first few games of the season. What news did week two bring? You guessed it, another substantial injury and loss for the team moving forward.
While the Alabama Crimson Tide has some of the best all-around athletic teams in the country, it may also have the worst luck in the country.
