2. Dylan Moses, LB, Redshirt Junior

Dylan Moses coming back to Tuscaloosa is a game-changer for this Tide defense. When he went down with an ACL injury before the season started, it was expected that the defense would suffer. However, no one expected the severity of the loss. It seemed like a linebacker was out of position on almost every chunk play. Alabama needed Moses’s talent, communication, and leadership on the field this season, and he wasn’t able to do any of those things due to the injury.

However, he is coming back for another year. He will instantly slide in at inside linebacker and fix a multitude of this defense’s problems. He’s got speed to help in coverage, aggression to stop the run, and a firm grasp on how to run Nick Saban’s defense. That will be valuable.

In terms of his draft stock, it’s too early to know where he will be slotted. He is going to have to prove that he is healthy enough to handle the rigor of a football season, but he has first-round traits. It always depends on who else is in his draft class, but he might end up being LB1.

We’ll have to wait and see how healthy he is, but Moses might fill in as the star linebacker that this team needed last year.
