Three Reasons Nick Saban will Retire with Alabama Football
Number Three: He has already reached the pinnacle of the coaching world with the Alabama Football team
Nick Saban has one of the most impressive careers in college football history. There’s no doubt there will be a 30 for 30 series made about his career one day. He has accomplished everything.
He turned two programs into National Champions with LSU in 2003 and Alabama Football in 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, and 2017. Saban is one of three coaches to win three national titles in four years. He is the second coach to win six national titles (the first was Bear Bryant).
He has won the National Coach of the Year award six times. He became the first college football coach to produce first-round draft picks at every major position. He also holds the record for the most first-round draft picks in history.
There is nothing left for him to prove. He has an incredible legacy and at 68 years old, it is highly unlikely he would leave the Alabama Football team to take on another project.
The college football world will have to deal with the fact that Nick Saban isn’t going anywhere, and he isn’t slowing down either. It looks like the world will have to keep on hating the Tide for the foreseeable future.
