Alabama football will see many studs on their roster.

The SEC football season is still a couple of months away, but it’s never too early to look ahead and make some predictions. The SEC always has some players and teams that are the cream of the crop, but they also have instances where things do not go as planned. Both of these have been the case for Alabama football in recent memory.

With that being said, let’s take a look and predict some studs and duds for the 2020 SEC season. There might be some surprises on my list, but let’s take a look.

Alabama football will have plenty of studs.

Stud: Najee Harris, RB, Alabama

Najee Harris will surely be a stud for the Crimson Tide in 2020. He showed potential as an underclassmen, but Harris really developed his game as a junior. He could’ve been the first running back drafted in the 2020 NFL Draft, but he decided to come back for his senior season. With Alabama football having a strong offensive line and a new starting quarterback, watch out for Harris to have a breakout year.

Dud: Jamie Newman, QB, Georgia

The Georgia Bulldogs are replacing almost their entire offense, but their hopes of a successful 2020 season revolve around replacing their quarterback specifically. Jamie Newman transferred from Wake Forrest to be the new man under center for UGA, but I believe that he is being overhyped. Georgia has already landed another transfer quarterback and have a 2021 quarterback committed. Those aren’t signs of a program that believes that any of their options will work. If JT Daniels is granted eligibility, he might be the starting quarterback by the end of the season.

Stud: Kyle Trask, QB, Florida

Kyle Trask filled in for the injured Feleipe Franks at Florida last season, and he is ready to take over as the full-year leader for the Gators. Florida has a favorable schedule, a strong core of returning players, and their quarterback situation figured out. Watch out for Florida to win the SEC East.

Dud: LSU’s hopes to repeat

The LSU Tigers shocked everyone when they went undefeated last season and won a national championship, but their odds of winning the SEC West are incredibly low. They had to replace almost their entire starting roster, including their Heisman quarterback Joe Burrow. They have one of the best cornerbacks and receivers in all of college football, but that won’t be enough to beat Alabama, Auburn, Florida, and Texas.

dark. Next. 3 times the Tide dynasty was supposed to be dead

Alabama football isn’t the only team to have a stud in 2020, but others will have their fair share of duds.
