Former Alabama football stars are looking to add rings on their hand in the upcoming NFL season.

Since Nick Saban has taken over the Alabama football program, Tide players have become accustomed to winning national championships. Every athlete to play at least three seasons for Saban has won at least one championship ring, so they have expectations of having similar success. However, it’s harder to win Super Bowls on a consistent basis. Unless you’re Dont’a Hightower and get drafted in the middle of the Patriots dynasty, you probably aren’t in a great situation to win multiple Super Bowls. Since Tide players get drafted instead of recruited, they have little control over the first few seasons of their professional careers.  However, plenty of former Tide athletes have a chance to win their first Super Bowl in the upcoming NFL season.

Alabama football players who can win their first Super Bowls

Mark Ingram, RB, Baltimore Ravens

Mark Ingram had a great start to his career with the New Orleans Saints, but they never made it to the Super Bowl. Now that he plays for the Ravens, he will be competing for championships for the foreseeable future. Ingram, like all of the other Alabama football players on the team, will have a good chance to win his first Super Bowl. Add him to the list with Marlon Humphrey, Anthony Averett, and Bradley Bozeman.

Amari Cooper, WR, Dallas Cowboys

Amari Cooper had practically no shot to win a Super Bowl as a member of the Oakland Raiders, but there is a small chance that he wins one in Dallas. Now that Dak Prescott is expected to sign his franchise tag, the Cowboys offense will be one of the best in the NFC. There’s no guarantee that the coaching situation will work, but the Cowboys will certainly be in contention.

Jarran Reed, DL, Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks are always in contention to be the best team in the NFC, so it only seems like a matter of time for Russell Wilson to lead them back to victory in the Super Bowl. Jarran Reed hopes to be a part of their future plans, so hopefully he can win a ring in Seattle. Even if his time in Seattle is limited, the Seahawks have a chance to win it all this season.

O.J. Howard, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tampa Bay has turned into Tompa Bay, so they are certainly in the Super Bowl race. That gives O.J. Howard a chance to win his first Super Bowl. Howard was famously silent during Alabama football’s regular seasons before showing out in national championship games, so he might have a performance worthy of a Super Bowl MVP.

Next. Stop saying that Alabama's schedule is weak. dark

There are plenty of other Alabama football players who might win Super Bowls, but these are the best odds to contribute heavily to a successful NFL team. If not, Gehrig Dieter might win another ring with the Kansas City Chiefs.
