Alabama Football: Tua’s rookie Madden 21 rating released

Alabama football fans can’t wait to use the Miami Dolphins in Madden.

There are plenty of things to look forward to during the long offseason. One thing that many Alabama football fans look forward to is using former Tide players in the upcoming Madden video game. Ever since college football got rid of its video game, Madden has been the only way to play as Crimson Tide players. It might not be the same, but at least fans can play a video game that consists of their favorite players.

This season, Tua Tagovailoa will be in Madden 21. It’s the first time that Alabama football fans will be playing as a former Tide quarterback who has a good enough rating to be worth it. It was recently announced that Tua’s rating will start at 73 overall, which is great for a rookie quarterback.

Tua is only behind Joe Burrow in terms of rookie QB ratings. His rating puts him ahead of the other two quarterbacks who were drafted in the first round, which is to be expected.

73 was the initial rating for Kyler Murray in Madden 20, and he was one of the most electric players in the game. Many used the Arizona Cardinals to build their Madden Franchise, and I would expect the same for the Miami Dolphins in 2021.

Tua isn’t the only Alabama football rookie QB.

Jalen Hurts will be a 68 overall rating, but his detailed ratings paint a different picture. His best ratings are in running categories, so he might be worth using as a wildcat QB in certain packages. This reflects what Philadelphia plans to do with the 2nd-round pick.

It will be a while before we see the ratings of other Alabama football rookies, but expect a couple of them to be higher than Tua’s rating. Jedrick Wills will likely be in the mid-70s, and Jerry Jeudy has a chance to be as high as 80 overall.

With the college football and NFL season still up in the air, at least we can look forward to Madden 21. If we have a season, Tua’s ratings will likely improve once he sees time on the field. Let’s just hope that his injury rating improves as well.
