Alabama Football: 15 in and 10 spots to go in ’21 Signing Class

Alabama Football Top Defensive Targets
The highest defensive priorities for the 2021 class are defensive line and cornerback. The Crimson Tide is hoping to close with two 5-Star corners in Ga’Quincy McKinstry and Jason Marshall. ‘Kool-Aid’ McKinstry narrowed his list on Sunday to the Crimson Tide, LSU and Auburn. He too has a basketball offer from Nate Oats. A third cornerback is possible and maybe a safety. The top additional corner targets are 4-Star, Terrion Armold and JUCO, Khyree Jackson.
Along with McKinstry and Michael Trigg, Arnold also holds a basketball offer from Nate Oats. We mentioned a few weeks ago, Nick and Nate are not joking on two-sport stars.
The Alabama Crimson Tide is expected to take three or four more defensive linemen. Likely to be next on July, 26, is 5-Star, Damon Payne from Belleville, MI. The Crimson Tide is battling LSU for 5-Star, defensive tackle, Maason Smith. From Houma, LA, it will be a surprise if Smith does not choose the Bengal Tigers. Four-Star, defensive tackle, Tim Kennan has long been believed to be a heavy Crimson Tide lean. He might be motivated by the Tide’s shrinking available slots. Another defensive tackle possibility is Auburn commit, 4-Star, Lee Hunter. Hunter is a high priority flip target for the Crimson Tide.
Closing out the 2021 defensive class, there is likely to be room for another linebacker and another defensive end. The linebacker is hoped to be 4-Star, Xavian Story from Graceville, FL. It is believed the Crimson Tide has led for Story for a good while. He can count on a spot being held. The defensive end top targets are 4-Stars, Monkell Goodwine, Shemar Turner and Shambree Jackson. Another possible flip target, 4-Star, Tyreak Sapp might be the Tide’s top defensive end target.
Fifteen in, and 10 or 11 to go. The 2021 Alabama football Signing Class will be outstanding. It also destroys the nonsense of Nick Saban having lost his recruiting magic.
