Alabama Football: Crafting the perfect 10-game schedule for the Tide
By Dakota Cox
The rest of Alabama football’s perfect schedule
Nov. 14: BYE
LSU is coming up, so let’s go ahead and take another bye here. This leaves four games left for the home stretch.
Nov. 21: @ LSU
LSU will be on the decline, but they are still one of Alabama’s biggest opponents. This is similar to a typical schedule, so it would be nice to keep that routine. Alabama always likes to take two weeks to prepare for the Tigers.
Nov. 28: vs. Mississippi State
Alabama football will be glad to play Mississippi State without having to confiscate any cowbells. With Mike Leach at the helm, there is no telling what to expect from the Bulldogs. However, it will play this team later in the season.
Dec. 5: @ Vanderbilt
Alabama football will never struggle to play at Vanderbilt. The Commodores won’t see much of a difference in terms of attendance. Alabama usually gets a cupcake before they play the Iron Bowl, and this would certainly count as that.
Dec. 12: vs. Auburn
The Iron Bowl could be moved to earlier in the year. However, it is best to keep things as close to the regular schedule as you can. It would be interesting to play the Iron Bowl in September, but that would not make the game any easier.
The Alabama Crimson Tide would love for this schedule to be announced. However, the real schedule will likely be a lot worse. We’ll have to just wait and see.
