While Alabama football won, these teams lost the SEC schedule release

Losers

Georgia Bulldogs

This is more of an opportunity lost than anything else. Georgia will be playing Mississippi State and Arkansas, so they should be fine. However, they were expecting Florida to have to play Alabama. That would put them in the driver’s seat of the SEC West. Instead, they have to play Alabama on the road while Florida gets to avoid Goliath. Alabama football fans should be laughing at the thought of Georgia fans being upset over this. We all know that the Bulldogs are already scared to play Alabama.

Arkansas Razorbacks

Arkansas may go winless in 2020. They have a right to be upset. The SEC preached balance in the conference, and they added the two toughest teams in the SEC East to their schedule. However, there is no way to balance this for everyone. Weaker teams always have tougher schedules simply because they can’t play the cupcake that is themselves. I’m sure the Razorbacks would have preferred a scrimmage on the schedule to ensure somebody wins, but alas.

Missouri Tigers

Mizzou is in big trouble. Similar to Arkansas, they added the two toughest opponents in the division to their 2020 SEC schedule. While the Tigers were expected to struggle already, this makes matters much worse.

Texas A&M Aggies

The talk of the town with the Aggies was always that they were a good schedule away from being dangerous. They had one of the toughest schedules in the country last season, but they were better than their record dictated. This was supposed to be that perfect year with easier opponents and proper home games. Instead, they will add Florida and Tennessee to the schedule. Florida will be heavily favored, and the Vols are one of the few SEC East teams on the rise.

These lists might change as the season draws nearer, but you have to think that Alabama football pulled away with a great schedule. It doesn’t matter who they really play. The Tide could face off against the Baltimore Ravens. Fans would still argue over if they truly played anyone.
