Ranking Alabama football’s opponents: Tier 3

No. 10: @ Arkansas Razorbacks

Arkansas has a genuine chance of going winless in 2020. They might be slightly better than they were last season, but the fact remains that they are still the worst team in the SEC West. The addition of Feleipe Franks won’t be enough for the Razorbacks to pull off an immaculate upset at home.

No. 9: vs. Kentucky Wildcats

Kentucky played all of last year with a wide receiver at quarterback. Is there anything else that needs to be said about the Wildcats? Lynn Bowden was great for Kentucky, but even he couldn’t stop Alabama football from pummeling the Wildcats. This is one of the main reasons why people are upset that Kentucky got added to Alabama’s schedule. Don’t worry. We’ll see some tough opponents down the line for the Crimson Tide.

No. 8: @ Missouri Tigers

The only reason Missouri went ahead of Kentucky is that they will be hosting their game with the Crimson Tide. This shouldn’t mean much in 2020, but at least Alabama will have to travel to play this game. That will be their biggest issue with this opponent.

The next tier is the biggest. It involves all the teams that Alabama should beat, but it will take genuine effort and strategy. I’d say that these games have around a 10 to 35 percent chance of an upset. It’s possible, but it is more likely that Alabama wins by double digits.
