What should we expect from Alabama football’s 2020 foes?

There is a lot that remains up in the air right now, but we at least know who Alabama is scheduled to play for the 2020 college football season. The Crimson Tide are unsure of the order of the games or the number of bye weeks, but Alabama football can at least start working on the opponents.

Alabama will face their seven familiar foes in the SEC West plus Tennessee. Their game at home against Georgia will be a challenge, but at least the Crimson Tide have known about them. The other two games were heavily debated by the SEC, but Alabama will play Missouri and Kentucky. This isn’t as perfect as the schedule we crafted recently, but it’s a huge win for Alabama. They get to add two games that should be considered cupcake wins for the Crimson Tide. Considering the alternative was traveling to play Florida, Alabama fans should be happy.

Nick Saban and the coaching staff are certainly going through a deep dive on each of these teams to find weaknesses to exploit. Instead of doing that, let’s make a bold prediction for each of the opponents on the Alabama football schedule. Let’s start with the two newest teams on the 2020 slate.

Despite losing Kelly Bryant, the Missouri Tigers will be better at QB.

Kelly Bryant was supposed to be a great way to recover from the loss of Drew Lock, but that wasn’t the case. You can blame injuries or his inept offensive line, but he was not the quarterback prospect that many thought he would be. I like Shawn Robinson to win the starting job after sitting out last season. Between him playing and the new coaching staff, I believe we will see more from the QB position. The main concern is that the pieces around the quarterback won’t be good enough to succeed. That will likely be the case, but that doesn’t negate an improvement under center.
