Jalen Hurts made Alabama football proud in the Eagles rookie show.

Alabama football has two former quarterbacks preparing for their rookie seasons in the NFL. We’ve all been keeping up with Tua in Miami, but Jalen Hurts has been having fun with the Philadelphia Eagles. He recently performed in the rookie talent show, an event hosted by most NFL teams.

As a way to welcome NFL rookies to the squad, most teams host some sort of a talent show. It acts as their initiation to the team, and it boosts morale during fall camp. We’ve seen plenty of videos in the past, but this has to be near the top of the list.

In the video, you can see Jalen Hurts repping the city with a Philadelphia Phillies jacket. I’m sure that will put a smile on the faces of Eagles fans around the country.

We’re not sure what to expect from Jalen Hurts on the field in 2020. He’s entrenched as the second-string quarterback behind Carson Wentz, but his skillset allows him to be used in special packages until he earns a starting role. No matter when he starts playing, you can’t deny the charisma and leadership shown in this video.

Jalen Hurts is showing what he learned with Alabama football.

One of the most important things about being a leader at quarterback is your connection with your teammates. We saw this with both Tua Tagovailoa and Jalen Hurts during their careers with Alabama football. The team rallies around them, and that bond mattes once adversity comes along.

You can laugh this off as a stupid video from fall camp, but it’s more than that. It might be entertaining for the team and fans. It is also the first step for Jalen to build team chemistry. If he’s respected by his teammates on and off of the field, he’s going to have a much better chance of earning reps. All he has to do is pair his likeness in the locker room with his skills and talent on the gridiron.

Alabama football fans know that the Philadelphia Eagles got a good one. We now want to see what Tua does for his talent show with the Miami Dolphins.
