Alabama football players who deserve more credit.

Jordan Battle, So. S

Jordan Battle’s numbers were not off the charts in 2019, but he worked his way up the depth chart to get significant playing time as a true freshman. He deserves credit for seeing the field at all.

Alabama was loaded in the secondary last year. Patrick Surtain and Trevon Diggs were lock-down corners. Xavier McKinney, Shyheim Carter and Jared Mayden were all great safeties. However, Battle still worked his way into the rotation.

Battle playing was not out of need for Alabama football. It was due to his talent and potential. In 2020, the Crimson Tide are going to need to see him sprout into a star.

Alabama lost four of their five key pieces from last year’s secondary. Patrick Surtain will hold his own, but Alabama needs to have other players step up around him. One of the players that will surely step up is Jordan Battle.

When you see a player see the field as a true freshman, you can bet that they are going to start sooner rather than later. Battle managed to start a few games last year, but he will almost definitely be a full-time starter in the upcoming season. He’s already accomplished more than the average player, so watch out for him to do more.

Watch out for this man in 2020. He’s going to do his best to earn the credit he already deserves.
