An Alabama football article all about positivity.

In these unprecedented times, good news and positivity can go a long way. I wrote an article in August filled with nothing but positive thoughts towards Alabama football. Due to its warm reception, I’ve decided to make it a monthly statement throughout the season.

In the second monthly article filled with happiness, news is even better for the Crimson Tide. Despite all of the uncertainty throughout this summer, we finally have college football on our screen. FCS games have already been played, and SEC games are scheduled for this month.

The new schedule for Alabama is incredibly kind. Their opening game will not be against Georgia as previously speculated. Instead, they will warm up against the Missouri Tigers, one of the worst teams in the SEC.

When the last positivity article was published, fall practices were still up in the air. Alabama has now been practicing for a few weeks and wrapped up their first scrimmage this weekend. That scrimmage was also a positive experience. It feels good to read up on notes from practices and scrimmages, and all news has been good so far. The secondary is young, but multiple players are showing that they are ready to contribute.

At this point in the year, no news is good news. Especially in 2020, there are plenty of things that could go wrong. None of those things have happened so far. Alabama football still hasn’t seen a player opt out of the 2020 season. While each athlete has the right to do what’s best for them, the fact remains that it is better for the Tide to have all players available. There has been no news of a devastating injury, which is also great news.

At this point last year, the inside linebacker position was decimated with injuries. It is great for the Crimson Tide to have none of that news leaking right now. A season-ending injury can happen at any time, but it’s always great to approach your first game with your roster intact.

The season inches closer, and everything is pointing up for Alabama football.
