As he does so well, Nick Saban made some things clear Wednesday evening.

Sadly, but not surprisingly some question Nick Saban and his player’s Monday march. Nick led the march. He is not backing down

Asked on Wednesday to respond to some negative opinions, Nick Saban said,

"I don’t have an opinion about everyone else’s opinion"

If there are Alabama football fans disappointed in the Tide’s marching players or the fact that Nick led them, a word of advice. Don’t take it up with Nick. Not only does he not care about any negative responses he also made it clear Monday was not the end of a process.

"We’re not letting this die. This is just not, ’We came over there on Monday and we had a march,’ and now it’s over."

Yesterday we wrote about the historical perspective of Nick Saban speaking in the Schoolhouse Door. What many Alabama football players are doing now is intending to make history. A history not attached to college football glories. Every indication is their coach not only fully supports them; he is proud of them.

Alabama football players are also proud of their coach. According to Chris Owens, Saban did not have to be coaxed to lead Monday’s march.

"he wanted to be upfront, and he wanted to let everyone know that he has our backs."

Hopefully, many Alabama football fans will follow Saban’s lead to, using Nick’s words, “make a difference.”

Tuesday and Wednesday were Alabama football practice days. In the media review that followed Wednesday’s practice responded to having no Crimson Tide players opting-out. He said he was excited about the commitment of his players. While some Crimson Tide players may change their minds, the Alabama football program is not likely to be affected like some other schools.

Getting back to actual football, Saban praised two wide receivers, John Methchie and Slade Bolden. He also said wide receiver, Javon Baker is showing some strong potential. It is a Saban standard to not offer much praise about true freshmen. Nick also complimented North Carolina, graduate transfer, Carl Tucker, calling him a good blocker and receiver. He also made positive comments about defensive end, LaBryan Ray, and Evan Neal, calling the sophomore a “prototype right tackle.”

The Alabama Crimson Tide has two more practice sessions this week, on Thursday and Saturday. The Saturday session is not a scrimmage.
