Special teams play may not have much of an impact on this game, but if it does, I like the Alabama football ST over Missouri’s. Will Reichard will be returning from injury as the Alabama football kicker. Even though he got off to a shaky start before his season ended early, I still believe he is the one to put Alabama’s kicking woes behind them. Practice reports include Reichard consistently making his kicks in fall camp.

Jaylen Waddle will likely still be the returner and we all know how explosive he is in the return game. Ty Perine and Skyler DeLong return as the punters, with the former bringing some hype to the position (as much as one can bring hype to the position of punter) after his debut last season.

For Missouri, they also struggled in the kicking game in 2019. They will be bringing in a new Kicker in 2020 after they lost Tucker McCann from last season. Their new Kicker will likely be true Freshman Harrison Mevis. Mevis was the No. 2 rated Kicker in the class of 2020 and will look to bring a boost to the Tigers’ kicking game. Mevis may well double as the team’s Punter also.

Simply put, the Alabama football Special Teams unit has more experience than the Mizzou unit and that is why I give them the edge.
