Alabama Football Offensive Depth Chart – Running Backs

Starter – Najee Harris

RB2 – Brian Robinson

RB3 – Trey Sanders

RB4 – Roydell Williams

The offensive plan for Missouri may not be vanilla, but it is not expected to include the entire playbook. With the deepest running back roster in college football and a powerful offensive line, the Missouri game should see a more running back oriented attack.

Crimson Tide fans know the value of Najee. Practice reports indicate Brian Robinson is improved. Trey Sanders would start on other SEC teams. As well as Roydell Williams has done throughout the preseason and recently, the same with Jase McClellan – the Tide’s top three will dominate the opportunities.

Alabama Football Offensive Depth Chart – Wide Receivers

Starter – Devonta Smith

Starter – Jaylen Waddle

Starter – John Metchie

Starter – Slade Bolden

Smitty and Waddle are probable First-team All-Americans. They are easily the best pair of wide receivers in the SEC.  Much of the preseason buzz has been about true freshman, Javon Baker. Baker could have a breakout freshman campaign. He has adequate speed, great hands and will be a  size mismatch for many defensive backs. As good as Baker can become,  going into the Missouri game, he will not beat out Methchie and Bolden.

Bolden has NFL-quality route-running skills and good hands. His experience gives him an edge as he has earned the confidence of the coaching staff.

Look for Xavier Williams and either Traeshon Holden or Thaiu Jones-Bell to join the wide receiver rotation.

Alabama football fans should not be surprised if Jahleel Billingsley and perhaps Carl Tucker, line up wide in four-receiver sets.

The biggest unknown about the Alabama football offense is how much Steve Sarkisian will re-shape it. The Missouri game will offer some clues.
