Alabama Football: Final Predicted Offensive Depth Chart
By Ronald Evans
Alabama Football Offensive Depth Chart – Tight Ends
We asked a month ago and will keep asking – will the Crimson Tide utilize its tight ends more in 2020? As mentioned on the previous page, Carl Tucker and particularly Jahleel Billingsley are hybrids. They do not have to line up shoulder-to-shoulder with a tackle.
Tight ends and occasional H-backs have an important primary job – to block. The Alabama football staff also lines up offensive linemen as tight ends in short-yardage and goalline situations. Given the situational nature of the position, starters are less important than other positions.
Starter A – Miller Forristall
Starter B – Jahleel Billingsley
Rotational – Carl Tucker
Rotational – Cameron Latu
Backup – Major Tennison
Forristall has the edge based on experience. Billingsley’s versatility also gives him an advantage. But playing snaps may be nearly equally shared by Carl Tucker and Cameron Latu.
Alabama Football Offensive Depth Chart – Offensive Line
For the Crimson Tide, it will be about the five-best becoming the best offensive line in college football. There is no first-team competition for Alex Leatherwood, Deonte Brown, Landon Dickerson and Evan Neal. Nick Saban says he considers seven guys as O-Line starters. The interior of the offensive line is loaded with talent. Capable backups are needed at the tackle slots.
Left Tackle Starter – Alex Leatherwood
Left Tackle Backup – Kendall Randolph or TBD
Left Guard Starter – Deonte Brown
Left Guard Backup – Landon Dickerson
Center Starter – Landon Dickerson or Darrian Dalcourt or Chris Owens
Center Backup – Darrian Dalcourt or Chris Owens or Emil Ekiyor
Right Guard Starter – Emil Ekiyor
Right Guard Backup – Pierce Quick
Right Tackle Starter – Evan Neal

Note: Brown and Ekiyor may line up at either guard position.
The Crimson Tide offense should shine early due to an abundance of experienced players. Among our predicted starters, seven players have three or more seasons of Crimson Tide experience. Don’t miss our soon to follow – Final Prediction, Alabama Football Defense Depth Chart.
