Plenty of Alabama football players will shine in the NFL this week.

We are used to having Alabama football players shine in the NFL, and Week 1 was no different. We saw plenty of former Tide athletes shine in their season openers, including a couple of rookies.

Who will be the studs in the second week of the NFL season? There could be more than three that have great games, but these are the leading candidates.

Calvin Ridley, WR, Atlanta Falcons

Calvin Ridley had a great game against the Seattle Seahawks to start the season, and he is poised to excel again against the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas’s biggest weakness defensively is in the second level, and that’s where Ridley thrives. While the Cowboys will try to limit what Julio Jones does, Ridley will do more as the team’s second option for the Falcons. Plenty of WR2’s rack up targets and yards, and Ridley is one of the best.

Derrick Henry, RB, Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans play the Jacksonville Jaguars this week. That’s all that really needs to be said about this one. Derrick Henry makes the Jaguars look like the Michigan State defensive lineman in the CFP semifinal. Plenty of Alabama football fans root for the Titans, so they love to watch Henry dominate in the NFL. He could easily see his first touchdown of the season against the Jags.

Shaun-Dion Hamilton, LB, Washington Football Team

Hamilton has a tall task ahead of him this weekend. The Football Team will be playing against Arizona, meaning that the defense will be scrambling all over the field to stop Kyler Murray. Hamilton is known more for his strength than his speed, but he could play a pivotal role in stopping the Cardinals offense. If he can play sideline to sideline and limit Kyler on the scramble, they should be in good shape.

Alabama football fans will see former Tide players in just about every game this Sunday. Watch out for these specific stars to be key talking points after this week of NFL football.
