2. Florida Gators
Continuity will be important above all else in 2020. Florida certainly has that with Kyle Trask under center and Dan Mullen on the sideline. Mullen is considered a quarterback whisperer, and he has worked his magic with Trask.
Kyle Trask might end up being the top quarterback of SEC football if everything goes well for the Gators. Avoiding Alabama football on the schedule certainly helps their odds of winning the SEC Championship. If Georgia has issues at quarterback, the Gators have what it takes to win the division with ease.
The bad news for Florida football is that there is another team in the conference that has their number.
1. Alabama Crimson Tide
Alabama football is one of the most balanced teams in college football. They have veteran players across the board. Najee Harris is the most dangerous running back in the conference, and Mac Jones has what it takes to lead the offense. Dylan Moses is back on defense, and Patrick Surtain will be a star in the secondary.
This isn’t the best team the Crimson Tide has ever had, and it will be weird watching an offense without Tua, but Alabama has what it takes to win it all. They certainly enter the college football season as the top team in the conference.
