Did Alabama football pass their test vs. Georgia?

Alabama football fans prepared for a battle of the ages this Saturday. The week leading up to Alabama vs. Georgia was wild, and the game lived up to the hype. Nick Saban was able to coach after testing negative for COVID-19, and he led the Crimson Tide to a huge win against Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs.

Things were not perfect in the first half, but momentum swung with a few huge plays by Mac Jones and the Crimson Tide offense. Alabama’s defense struggled, but they forced three interceptions and inevitably did what was necessary to beat Georgia. The Tide remain undefeated as they prepare for the Tennessee Volunteers next week.

We all knew that this would be a test for Alabama, and they certainly passed. However, what grade did the Tide earn? Let’s break down their report card by position.

Tight Ends: B-

Miller Forristall went down with an early injury, but he managed to play through the pain. As a receiver, he had a few key catches to extend drives. That being said, he also ran a few routes poorly. He still played great against Georgia, but it could have been better.

From a blocking perspective, Alabama did a lot with their tight ends. They failed to pick up a few blitzes, but they held their own against this athletic defensive front from Georgia.

Let’s transition from tight ends to offensive and defensive linemen.
