Alabama football bold predictions vs. Vols
2. Alabama will force three turnovers on Saturday
For Nick Saban to leave this game with a smile on his face, he needs to see his defense force more mistakes by the opponent. Alabama football has been great at taking advantage when their opponent shoots themselves in the foot, but they haven’t truly forced turnovers as much.
Tennessee already makes mistakes by themselves. They started their last game with two interceptions returned for touchdowns, and Kentucky forced other turnovers as well. This type of performance will likely carry over into this game.
Alabama’s defense isn’t great, but they looked a lot better in the second half against Georgia. They could easily take that momentum into this game and force multiple turnovers.
This sounds ambitious, but the Tennessee offense is prone to make mistakes. They will likely have a ton of bad throws, and Malachi Moore and this secondary can pick them off.
Personally, I would love to see the Crimson Tide get a strip-sack. They rarely get sacks, but forcing Jarrett Guarantano to cough it up would be great for the confidence of this defensive line.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Alabama football could get more than three turnovers, but anything more feels too ambitious. My prediction is two interceptions and a forced fumble for this defense.
