No. 3 – Texas A&M Aggies; 59 points – previous ranking No. 3

The Aggies did not play in week eight. Arkansas travels to College Station in week nine, in a key game for both teams.

No. 4 – Florida Gators; 56 points – previous ranking No. 4

The Gators have not played since week six when they were topped by the Aggies. Missouri visits Gainesville in week nine.

No. 5 – Arkansas Razorbacks; 50 points – previous ranking No. 5

The Hawgs were also off in week eight. Sam Pittman’s team is the most positive surprise in the SEC this season.

No. 6 – Missouri Tigers; 39 points – previous ranking No. 10

As the SEC football season progresses the Alabama football win over Mizzou looks more impressive. The Tigers upended a visiting Kentucky Wildcats team, 20-10 to even their season record at 2-2. Having settled in with Connor Bazelak at quarterback, the Tigers offense is clicking. With a productive passing game, loosening defenses, running back Larry Rountree is again showing he is of the SEC’s best. The Tigers are much improved since the opener against the Crimson Tide. Up next for Mizzou is a trip to Gainesville.

No. 7 – LSU Bengal Tigers; 35 points – previous ranking No. 12

A quarterback change for Ed Orgeron’s offense sparked the Tigers to a home win over South Carolina. Freshman, T.J. Finley passed for 265 yards, with a completion percentage of 81 percent. The LSU rushing attack also had success against the Gamecocks. Is LSU, turning a corner? Perhaps so, but on Saturday the defense still gave up over 400 yards to South Carolina, including 234 passing yards.
