Alabama Football running backs dominate NFL Week 10

Plenty of Alabama football stars shined in NFL Week 10.

When Crimson Tide stars leave Alabama football, their fans stay with them on their NFL journeys. They are watching Tua thrive with the Dolphins. They are rooting for Jalen Hurts to start for the Philadelphia Eagles. One group that always gets love is Alabama running backs, and plenty of them played well last week.

Let’s start with the best running back in Alabama history. Derrick Henry has been a dominant force since he was drafted by the Tennessee Titans, but he surpassed 100 yards on less than 20 carries. The Titans lost, but Henry had a solid day once again.

Josh Jacobs had an even better day. He ran for 112 yards, had 24 receiving yards, and scored two touchdowns for the Las Vegas Raiders. Vegas is now in a great position to make it to the NFL Playoffs despite having the Super Bowl champs in their division. Josh Jacobs is a great reason why they are thriving.

On the Cardinals, Kenyan Drake also ran for 100 yards. He scored no touchdowns, but his team won the game in the final seconds against the Buffalo Bills.

The last monster day was from Damien Harris. Harris was a star for Alabama football, but he has waited for a chance to prove himself with the New England Patriots. He got his opportunity on Sunday, and he balled out against the Ravens. He did not score, but he ran for 121 yards against the Ravens. New England got the win in a surprising upset. This was a big day across the board for Alabama players, but the running backs specifically dominated.

Four running backs from the same college ran for at least 100 yards this past week. That is simply unheard of. Few schools even have four running backs starting in the NFL. This week shows that Alabama football is RBU, and recruits should always consider joining the Crimson Tide. These numbers will only increase when Najee Harris and Brian Robinson join the mix next season.
