Alabama football wants to do more than beat Kentucky.

After two weeks of waiting, Alabama football fans will finally get to see their beloved Crimson Tide play football once again. However, they will not see an exciting game. Instead of playing LSU like Alabama was supposed to last week, they will face off against the Kentucky Wildcats.

Kentucky is far from a formidable opponent. Their wins are against teams with a combined 4-14 record. Alabama is expected to win this game by a wide margin, so the keys to victory seem simple. As long as the Tide can do what is expected of them, they will win this one easily. However, Nick Saban does not settle for wins. He wants to dominate each and every team on the schedule.

With that in mind, these are the keys for Alabama football to dominate the Kentucky Wildcats.

3. Expect Najee Harris to thrive

Alabama believes that iron sharpens iron. Kentucky will likely try to compete in the trenches. They are not great anywhere, but they are at least gritty. Alabama can win by simply throwing to DeVonta Smith, but it would be great for them to beat the Wildcats at what they do best.

Najee Harris will likely see the ball plenty of times. He needs to win both inside and outside of the tackle box. He has the strength and agility to do both against almost any team. However, he rarely breaks free for the monster gains. I would love to see Harris have a personal high in terms of yards gained on one play. We will see if he can do this, but he should at least gain his typical 5 yards per rush.
