3 keys for Alabama football to dominate Kentucky

1. Alabama needs to use all wide receivers

This is the biggest key for Alabama football to dominate. The Crimson Tide have what it takes to win this game despite how well they play. They could easily play a sloppy game and still beat Kentucky by a couple of touchdowns. However, Alabama fans would love to see the ball be distributed to other receivers as the game progresses. That would speak well to their future success as well.

DeVonta Smith is one of the best wide receivers in Alabama football history. Mac Jones would do just fine throwing the ball to him all game. However, we need other guys to develop alongside Smitty. John Metchie will be the face of this receiving corps next season, so he needs to dominate as a WR2. Slade Bolden will continue to do more on special teams and as a starting receiver.

I would love to see Alabama give a few other receivers some targets in this game. Alabama has multiple freshmen receivers who have tons of potential, but we’ve barely seen them play so far. This would be a great opportunity for them to show what they can do as well.

If this group of receivers improves, it will be one of the best that Alabama has ever seen. When you add in the potential of bringing back Jaylen Waddle, it becomes a nightmare for teams around the country.
