Alabama Football: Tide report card in win vs. Kentucky

Alabama football’s report card vs. Kentucky
Inside Linebackers: B
Alabama football got to play plenty of inside linebackers in this game, but the majority of its plays happened with Dylan Moses. All in all, they adapted well to what Kentucky threw at them. The Crimson Tide had to deal with a lot of motion from the UK offense, and it threw them for a loop. However, the linebackers adjusted over the course of the game and stepped up when things mattered most.
Christian Harris had a few massive hits after catches across the middle of the field. This is when his physical skills overcome the mental aspect of the game. He just gets to step up and make plays for the Crimson Tide. The inside linebackers also got to make some big plays in the running game, and that was a focal point for the Alabama defense against Kentucky.
Outside Linebackers: B+
Chris Allen had a good game with a sack, but opportunities for the outside linebackers were few and far between. We knew that UK wanted to run the ball, which eliminates a lot of what outside linebackers can do. That being said, there weren’t many plays that the outside linebackers failed on. We still haven’t seen big plays from Will Anderson, but he’s doing what Alabama football needs him to do. We’ll see if he has a breakout game before the season ends.
