3 keys for Alabama football to win the Iron Bowl
1. Don’t let Auburn hang around in this game
Alabama has a superior team. They have better coaching, a great quarterback and a strong defense. They will host this game, and they want to get the bad taste of losing out of their mouth from last year.
If Auburn pulls off the upset, it will be in some crazy fashion. They always seem to make an unexpected play when this game is close. Because of that, Alabama football needs to keep this game from getting to that point.
The offense needs to step on the gas early. If they get an early lead, they have what it takes to control the time of possession and keep this one from being competitive. When Auburn takes a step back, Alabama needs to keep swinging.
If Alabama lets Auburn hang around, the Tigers will be one crazy play from beating the best team in college football. They will almost certainly find a way to make that play.
This is easier said than done, but watch out for the offense to elect to receive and start out strong. They will turn this into a shootout, and the Tigers will not be able to keep up. The Tide will crush their spirits on their way to a strong Iron Bowl win.
