After one of the craziest years in history, Alabama football fans can fall back on the tradition of watching the Iron Bowl the weekend after Thanksgiving. This year, the Crimson Tide will face off against a ranked Auburn team with nothing to lose.

While some debate whether or not Auburn is the Tide’s biggest rival, they have certainly led to Alabama’s craziest moments of the past few seasons. Just like any other season, anything can happen in the Iron Bowl. That makes bold predictions more fun.

We’ll have to wait until Saturday to see what happens, but these are our bold predictions for Alabama football in this year’s Iron Bowl.

5. DeVonta Smith will score 2 TDs

Smitty has had a record-setting career with Alabama football, and this will be no different. On this year’s senior night, he will have one final chance to play in Bryant-Denny Stadium. Just like he has all season, he will make the most of his opportunity.

Ever since Jaylen Waddle went down, Smitty has seen an increased role in the offense. Auburn will spend all week preparing for him, but I don’t think they have what it takes to stop him all game. Mac Jones trusts Smith to make every catch, and he will take some risks by throwing to him in coverage. No matter how he is covered, he has a chance to make the play.

While Alabama football needs to distribute the ball more evenly amongst the receivers, Smith will always see more targets than the other options. With his talent, any target could be a touchdown. I believe that he will get at least two against the Auburn Tigers.
