Potential NBA trades for Collin Sexton

Miami Heat

Miami made it to the NBA Finals this year, but they still have room to grow. They learned against the Lakers that they have a long way to go before being a true title contender. They have quality wing players and great shooters. Bam Adebayo is one of the best young bigs in the NBA. The one place where they could improve is at point guard, and Sexton would be a great addition.

Miami has Goran Dragic facilitating the offense, and he has been solid. However, adding depth behind him would be great. Sexton could eventually compete to start with this team if he continues to improve.

Miami is in a strange situation. They are contenders in the Eastern Conference, but most of their core is young. Adding Sexton could make Miami a force to be reckoned with for years to come. At the very least, it would put Collin Sexton on a better team.

Miami has used draft capital in previous trades, but they likely have enough to make this deal happen. The issue here is that Cleveland would likely get greedy. Since Miami has so many young stars, the Cavs would likely hold out for a key piece from last year’s team. There is no way that the Heat would trade away Duncan Robinson or Tyler Herro for Sexton.
