Alabama Crimson Tide: Top Five Games Against LSU That Make It A Rivalry

The Alabama Crimson Tide may have recently played their biggest rival in the Auburn Tigers in the Iron Bowl, but they have another big rivalry game coming up in the LSU Tigers. The Crimson Tide and the Tigers down in Baton Rouge, Louisiana have had plenty of classic games and some have SEC Championship ramifications along with National Championship implications. Many times whether they play in Death Valley or in Tuscaloosa, the games come down to the final quarter, final few minutes, or even the last few seconds. This season’s Alabama Crimson Tide-LSU Tigers game doesn’t look like much of a game with LSU not as good as their National Championship team from last season, but anything can happen. Any given time they play we could see another classic matchup up between the two SEC West Division rivals. So I analyzed and came up with a list of top five games for the Alabama Crimson Tide against LSU that make it a rivalry. Let’s take a look at those five games.

No. 5 ‘Game of the Century’ Part Two, 2019, LSU 46-41

In Tuscaloosa, the Alabama Crimson Tide would play a tough game against the LSU Tigers, but would fall short at home 46-41. LSU led by quarterback Joe Burrow would snap an eight-game losing streak against Alabama with the win. The Alabama Crimson Tide rallied from down 33-13 at halftime, to pull within a touchdown three times in the fourth quarter, but still lost. The LSU Tigers would go on to finish 15-0 and win the National Championship while the Crimson Tide finished the year at 11-2 and as Citrus Bowl Champions.
