Bold predictions for Alabama football vs. LSU

2. LSU won’t score for the third straight game in Tiger Stadium

Two years ago, Tua Tagovailoa led Alabama football to a resounding win in a game that many thought would be close. He practically played on one leg, the Tide rolled. However, the key to the game was Alabama’s defense keeping Joe Burrow and the Tigers scoreless in their own stadium.

Four years ago, the same thing happened. While Alabama’s offense was not nearly as potent, the defense kept LSU from scoring. This will be a tough task, but I believe that Alabama will hold LSU scoreless for the third straight game in Tiger Stadium.

LSU’s offense is the worst that it has been in many years. Between injuries and opt-outs, there are practically no stars on that side of the football. Alabama’s defense also always seems to play better in Baton Rouge. They feed off of the energy in the stadium as they work to silence the crowd. Over the past two games in Tiger Stadium, they have managed to do just that.

Many of Alabama’s players were recruited by LSU. Some are from Louisiana. This game means more to them than most. Adding in how last year went, Alabama football will have a chip on their shoulder. Look for them to hold LSU scoreless on Saturday night.
