Keys for Alabama football to dominate vs. Arkansas

1. The backups have to dominate as well

This is how Alabama football games tend to go. The starters begin and start the game off strong. They play two full quarters of excellent football, and we start to talk about whether or not this is the greatest Alabama football team ever. After the score is out of hand, they start to struggle for a few drives. Once Nick Saban has seen enough from the starters, he brings in the subs. This is where the game actually looks competitive.

For the Tide to show just how dominant they are, they need to dominate for four quarters. They shouldn’t give the Razorbacks any reasons to be confident at the end of this game. Jase McClellan will likely get some carries at the end of this game, and he will make the most of them. However, this mostly boils down to the defense and Bryce Young. Young hasn’t done much with his opportunities this year, and this will likely be his last chance to play all season.

Watch out for Young to get more passing opportunities against Arkansas. If he can score once or twice, Arkansas’s defense will be struggling for the entire game. The final quarter will carry just as much weight as the first, and it is important for Alabama football to thrive as the final minutes play out.
