Alabama football’s takeaways vs. Arkansas

1. Only Alabama can beat Alabama

Does Alabama football have what it takes to beat any team in the country? Obviously. In fact, I would take the Crimson Tide over any team if they are playing their best. That being said, there is no guarantee that Alabama will take care of business in each and every game.

We saw this early against Arkansas. The secondary gave up a few early plays. The Razorbacks got into the red zone. Alabama had to settle for their own field goal, and this game was tied for far too long. Give credit to Arkansas for taking advantage of Alabama’s mistakes, but they still had to rely on Alabama football to make mistakes.

Najee Harris slipped multiple times. Mac Jones was inaccurate early in this game. The defense had a key player go down on the first play of the game. The Razorbacks did not do anything to cause these errors.

Arkansas is not good enough to beat Alabama, but the mistakes kept this game close for a few drives. If Alabama makes those types of mistakes against Clemson or Florida, they might lose. If not, they should be expected to win easily.
