Alabama football’s report card vs. Arkansas

Quarterbacks: B

Mac Jones had a tough start in the bad weather. He worked well in the pocket and went through his progressions, but his biggest issues were on passes. He threw some incompletions that were wildly inaccurate, and that was very uncharacteristic for the Heisman candidate.

Arkansas did a great job of stopping the Tide’s passing game down the field. This is how Mac Jones pads his stats. However, Jones did a great job of not forcing the ball too much. Instead, he remained efficient and took what the defense gave him. Against a team like Arkansas, that is all you need to do.

Kickers: A

Will Reichard made a deep field goal in bad weather to start this game, and that proves how much Nick Saban trusts him. No other kicker of the Saban era would have walked onto the field. However, Reichard remained perfect on the season. Alabama football finally has a kicker, and Reichard proved once again.

Punters: B+

Alabama football punted the ball twice. Charlie Scott did his job, but he thankfully did not see the field often. While Scott is an improvement at punter, he still has room to grow.
