What will it take for Alabama football to win the SEC Championship?

The regular season is finally over, and Alabama football has done all it has needed to do up to this point. They have gone undefeated and looked dominant in almost every game. They have proven that they are the best team in college football, and they hold a firm grasp on the top seed of the College Football Playoff.

However, the Crimson Tide still have a step to take until the true postseason. This Saturday, Alabama will be looking to win the SEC Championship against the Florida Gators.

While Florida is coming off of an embarrassing loss to the LSU Tigers, they still have reasons to be hopeful. They have a Heisman contender at quarterback, and the best tight end in the country will be back in this game. What will it take for Alabama to win this game? Here are the keys to victory.

3. Slowing down Kyle Pitts

Alabama football’s defense has gotten better each and every week. From forcing turnovers to sack production, practically every statistic has improved all season. However, they have not faced a weapon like Kyle Pitts all season. He is a great tight end, and he is a matchup nightmare in the red zone.

So, how will the Crimson Tide try to stop Kyle Pitts? They will mostly try to double him as they lock up in single coverage everywhere else. This is a risk, but it is the best chance of slowing down the Florida offense.
