Christmas ideas for Alabama football’s former players

Jalen Hurts: Brian Daboll

It appears that Jalen Hurts has officially won the starting job with the Philadelphia Eagles. This puts him ahead of schedule, and they now need to adapt their plan. They will likely start by firing their head coach, and Brian Daboll would be a great option.

Daboll and Hurts have a great deal of chemistry that stems back to their time in Tuscaloosa. Daboll is also great with mobile quarterbacks. While there might be other coordinators with a better fit, it feels right for Brian Daboll and Jalen Hurts to be reunited.

Tua Tagovailoa: An Alabama receiver

Miami’s defense has been a great unit all season. Tua has been solid as the new franchise quarterback. They aren’t the problem. Tua just needs a new offensive line and weapons. I would go with either Jaylen Waddle or DeVonta Smith in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. You could then use the other pick on an offensive lineman and potentially pick up Najee Harris in the second round.

Derrick Henry: A new crown

King Henry started his reign of terror in high school, and it translated during his Heisman run with Alabama football. We’ve seen just how scary he can be for years, the rest of the country has finally come around on him. It started with the NFL Playoffs last season, but this year has seen the respect for Henry grow. With everything he has done in 2020, he deserves a bigger crown than the one he had in 2019. He makes Alabama fans proud every time he steps onto the field, and the same can be said about fans of the Titans.
