Alabama football had plenty of great moments in 2020.

While 2020 has been a crazy year for the world, it has been a successful year for Alabama football. Including last year’s postseason, the Tide are 12-0 with 11 wins against SEC teams and a bowl victory. They are closing in on the greatest offensive season the Tide have ever seen, and things are only going to get better.

Let’s take a look at the 10 greatest moments from Alabama football since Jan. 1, 2020.

10. Beating Michigan in the Citrus Bowl

2019 was not Alabama’s year, but they started 2020 off with a bang. They were kept out of the New Year’s Six bowl games, and they felt disrespected by that decision. Instead of moping into their bowl game against Michigan, they used it as an opportunity to prove that they were better than the CFP committee said.

This game was our first sight of Mac Jones as a true franchise quarterback. He played well in his previous games, but this was by far his best performance of his sophomore year. He had three passing touchdowns, and Jerry Jeudy had over 200 receiving yards. This win gave Alabama football a reason to be excited about 2020.

9. The 2020 NFL Draft

This was an excellent day for the Crimson Tide for many reasons. It’s always a great day to see former players find their new home, and having four first-round picks is nothing to laugh at. However, the main reason why this day was big was that Tua was drafted in the first round. He went down as Saban’s first quarterback to be drafted in the first round.

Fans also saw Jalen Hurts find his NFL home in the second round. Both of these former quarterbacks are now starting for their teams, along with other stars from the 2020 NFL Draft class.
