What does Alabama football have to do to beat Ohio State?

The 2020 season has been wild, but it is almost over. Before we wrap up, Alabama football will face off against the Ohio State Buckeyes in the National Championship.

Due to an extensive resume and an explosive offense, Alabama is favored to win this game. However, Ohio State also upset the Clemson Tigers. They looked great in the Sugar Bowl, and they appear to be ready to play against the Crimson Tide.

This appears to be a great game, and it will take a lot for either team to win. Here are five keys for Alabama to win the National Championship.

5. Avoid catastrophic mistakes

This will likely turn into a shootout. Both offenses are electric, and they have many ways to score. This could easily come down to who has the football last.

Because of that attention to detail, a massive mistake might be too much to overcome. I’m not talking about a tackle for a loss or a bad sack. I mean a lapse on special teams that causes a big game. If there is a drop from a wide-open receiver, that could negate a massive amount of yardage. Busted coverage might happen once or twice, but it can’t be when Ohio State would otherwise have gotten off of the field.

Ohio State needs something to even the scales. They can’t expect to win without a little bit of help. It is vital for Alabama football not to give them that kind of opportunity. It would change momentum and potentially change the outcome of the CFP National Championship.
