This OSU player is taking trash-talking to a whole new level against Alabama football.

When you are preparing for the CFP National Championship, you expect things to get a little chippy. You don’t want to provide bulletin board material like an Ohio State DB did, but you expect at least some trash talk.

A certain Buckeye took the concept of trash talk literally as he prepared for this game. He posted a picture on social media with an oversized trash can. The caption read “Me and Bama getting to know each other.” The post has since expired. Thankfully, Alabama fans keep receipts.

This doesn’t seem to be a good idea from Ohio State. They saw firsthand what motivation can do against the Clemson Tigers. After Dabo Swinney disrespected them, they brought more energy to the Sugar Bowl and dominated.

So, who is the culprit of this insult? His name is Roen McCullough. He is a walk-on long snapper for Ohio State. His brother was the last long snapper for the Buckeyes. Despite being a junior, he remains a backup on special teams. He is also listed as injured, so he won’t be available for the CFP National Championship.

I’m sure that Alabama football players would love to line up against McCullough in this game. Unfortunately for them, they will have to settle for the rest of the team. Even with McCullough being unavailable, the Crimson Tide will use his remarks as motivation.

The Buckeyes should know this, but you shouldn’t poke the bear. This is even more important when the bear is favored to win their sixth title of the Nick Saban era.

There is no doubt that Alabama will be motivated for this game. They are used to trash talk from opponents. While they didn’t need this extra motivation, they will certainly use it as extra fuel for the Crimson flame. We’ll see if it makes a difference on Monday.
