Running Back:

Alabama Football running back Najee Harris nearly cracked the top four for Heisman votes and has won over fans with his personality and his support for women in America. His incredible hurdles and spin moves enthrall the college football world. Ohio State running back Trey Sermon, who Buckeyes fans love and trust, and ran 29 times for 331 yards against #14 Northwestern in the conference championship.

It is more than just those two backs. This is going to be about who is more prepared in terms of depth, reliability, and experience. This is where Alabama Football blows people away. You look at the Crimson Tide and think of players like running back Najee Harris, receiver DeVonta Smith, quarterback Mac Jones. People tend to forget about the guys behind the scenes, scout players, etc.

For the Alabama Crimson Tide, it’s not rebuilding, it’s reloading and the same goes for their running back room. Not only do they have Najee Harris, but they have Brian Robinson Jr., Jase McClellan, Roydell Williams and Kyle Edwards. Ohio State has tough backs in Trey Sermon and Master Teague. That’s all though and that’s not enough to take on Alabama. It boils down to Najee Harris versus Trey Sermon. Najee returned for his senior year and has shown great value. With this matchup, we have to go with the guy who was in the running for the Heisman.

Obviously, not all of these guys will be playing, but it’s still a sign of how deep they are, and if something were to happen, how they would approach things. Ohio State relies a lot on Trey Sermon and if Alabama can find a way to stop him, well the Crimson Tide can certainly find a way to limit the weapons the Buckeyes have.
