Defensive Line:

This is a tough butwhat a good matchup. The best offensive line in the country versus one of the defensive lines in the country. Ohio State got the best of Clemson and Trevor Lawrence in the first round of the College Football Playoff and they were thrilled as a team could be.

With guys like Jonathan Cooper, Haskell Garrett, and Tyreke Smith, Alabama will have a tougher time running the ball or getting solid passes off. Notre Dame was a solid team but Ohio State looks to be much better.

For Alabama, I like the combination of DJ Dale, LaBryan Ray, Tim Smith, Justin Eboigbe, and Christian Baramore. It’s not that Alabama does not have a good run defense or pass rush, but the Buckeyes have been on a tear lately and this is where they succeed so well.

At the end of the day, I have to give the Buckeyes the advantage. With that being said, they definitely have their work cut out for them against Alabama’s offensive line, but when we are comparing apples to apples, it seems as though Ohio State gets the nod.

Advantage: Ohio State
